[Nafisa N.] Victim or Opposite?
Competition Brief: What Does Amber Heard Belive?
With the dust settling on the first Amber Heard / Johnny Depp trial, Heard and her new team are rallying for an appeal. Given the incredible landslide of reaction in the court of public opinion, one might question the wisdom of any second round. Still, considering Depp’s own change of fortune after losing in his case against News Group 2018, perhaps there is logic in the pursuit? After all, it was determined that claims of domestic abuse were substantially accurate enough to support publicly calling Depp a “wife beater.” A quick peruse of the latest online coverage of him though suggests that winning the latest case in the United States has been enough to turn public opinion in his favour.
On the other hand, perhaps it’s not a “play” or “strategy” or “guise” or “plan” or anything else malevolent in the mind of Amber Heard. Perhaps she believes that she is a victim deserving of justice like any other citizen and nothing more. After all, she was partially successful in her counter suit meaning their was some validity to her arguments.
This month’s question is: what do you believe, Amber Heard believes? Given all the accusations, the charges, and the verdicts, what, if anything, does she know is a lie? In contrast, what, if anything, does she sincerely believe? If she was given a consequence free opportunity and confessed to you her unfiltered version of the truth as she perceives it, what would she say? Support your essay with a statement of fact.
Statement of Fact
— In 2018, Johnny Depp sued News Group in a British court for defamation and lost the case.
— In 2022, Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard in an American court and won.
The very popular case known to everyone that was between John C. Depp and Amber Laura Heard was a defamation trial held in Fairfax County, Virginia, from April 11, 2022 to June 1, 2022. The case began as a response to an opinion piece Heard wrote for The Washington Post in 2018, during the #MeToo movement against sexual harassment, discrimination, and assault. Johnny Depp sued ex-wife Amber Heard for defamation in 2019, claiming that the article falsely implied she was physically and sexually abused by the actor while they were married.
Heard writes the op-ed that is at the heart of the defamation lawsuit for The Washington Post. “I became a public figure representing domestic abuse, and I felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out,” she writes in the op-ed. In her article, Heard discusses her abuse from childhood to adulthood. It does not contain Depp’s name. At the heart of the article, Heard requests assistance for women who are victims of domestic violence. “We now have an opportunity to strengthen and build institutions that protect women,” she writes. “For starters, Congress can reauthorize and strengthen the Violence Against Women Act.”
Depp sues Heard for defamation, alleging that the Post article was a ruse devised by Heard to generate positive press for herself. Depp also claims that she is the perpetrator of domestic violence rather than the victim. Depp seeked $50 million in compensation. And in the court , The jury in the Virginia defamation trial of actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard found that Mr. Depp was defamed in a 2018 op-ed, giving the actor a victory in his long, messy battle over domestic abuse allegations.
IS TRUELY AMBER HEARD A VICTIM OR OPPOSITE?
The heart aching judgement that was on air as described above. We all know that our immensely favourite johnny depp known as jack sparrow who holds a huge fan following base than amber heard. But does this fanbase really affect the judgement? My answer is absolutely no. In this intense modern world when a woman apply for judgement , always due to feminism man has to face that verdict whether that man is guilty or not. We actually don’t try to find the straight answer rather we step on a conclusion. The question is if Amber Heard is given a free space , unfiltered situation then will she be able to give an honest answer of her to me? I think and mostly believe that a situation doesn’t change the truth even if a safe place is given or not. In an open news she claimed that she donated the $7 million to the American Civil Liberties
Union (ACLU) and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. But then in the court it came out she pledged not donated yet cause depp sued her. If she intended to donate then she could, which was erased by an excuse. Also she did many charities with Elon Musk’s money when they were in a relationship , said by Elon himself in the court.

Excellent writing, highly recommended. Very sad that Depp has to go through those things and get humiliated and also lost his popular role as jack sparrow. But truth has arisen.

Excellent writing; strongly advised. It is quite terrible that Depp had to experience such things, be humiliated, and lose his well-known character as Jack Sparrow. But the truth has emerged.
